Alotta Locs Hair Suite Appointment Instructions & Guidelines
Prior to your locking session:
These instructions are very important leading up to your upcoming locking session. A deposit of $250 payment is required to block any date for SL establishment. Payment can be made online at alottalocs.com
If you have not received an email reminder, you may text or call within 48 hours of your appointment to confirm. Aside from your initial appointment confirmation, you should receive another courtesy email reminder three days prior to your appointment.
1.) Come to your appointment with your hair clean, and product free.
2.) Please do not blow dry, straighten, braid, or section your hair in any way.
3.) Do not add any water, conditioners, oils or moisturizers.
Note: Please do not plan any other activities the day of your installation appointment. We block out a specific time frame for the dates you reserved to ensure that we will complete our service to you on time as promised. Please read our policy regarding tardiness, leaving early, cancellations, and rescheduling.
After your locking session:
Here are some tips to help make your Sisterlocks experience go as smoothly as possible:
1.) Follow the shampooing instructions in your Starter Kit. Most importantly, be sure to BUNDLE: Braid sections of your hair together, tuck the ends, and secure with a rubber bands PRIOR to shampooing. Rinse is very important.
2.) SEPARATE your locks from the root after you shampoo. This is important to keep locks from blending together. Dry hair thoroughly before going to bed: this prevents mildew and odor from forming in your locks from being saturated for an extended length of time.
3.) AVOID OIL-BASED PRODUCTS. For at least the first 6 months after getting your locks, you are in a “settling in” phase. Softening agents found in moisturizers and conditioners can cause your hair to resist the locking process and cause build-up especially if they are not water-soluble.
1.) It's important to maintain regular maintenance. Retightening typically ranges between 3.5-4.5 hours, check website for our retightening prices. If you do not remain on schedule, costs will increase.
2.) For health safety, please come to your retightening appointments with your hair clean. If your hair is not cleaned, you will be rescheduled, additional fees will apply.
3.) IF YOU ARE SICK, AT ANY STAGE, PLEASE RESCHEDULE . IF YOU EXHIBIT SIGNS OF ILLNESS YOU WILL BE RESCHEDULED where additional fees will apply
4.) Your next appointment should always be scheduled before you leave to ensure availability.
5.) Your SL retightening appointment is an excellent time to purchase your Sisterlocks products. We offer a variety of SL products by request.
