Q: Are all clients required to follow the polices of ALHS?
A: Yes! Everyone is required to read & follow all polices and guidelines before booking appointment. Failure to adhere to all polices and guidelines will result in cancellation, no refunds.
Q: Do you provide services for start, re-tighten, and maintaining locs?
A: Yes. We offer loc services for traditional locs, Sisterlocks™️ , and Microlocks. All services are by appointment only.
Q: Do you provide loc extension services?
A: No. We do not offer any type of loc extension services at this time.
Q: Do you offer Wick services for locs?
A: No. We do not offer this service.
Q: Are you accepting transfer clients?
A: Yes. we are accepting transfers.
Q: What is considered a transfer client?
A: Someone who has gotten loc services done from another salon, loctician or self-installed/self-combined/self-maintained. If you were a client and have not been serviced by ALHS in years, gotten locs combined, or changed in any form from the original service we provided this is considered by our business as a transfer client.
Q: I want Locs, but how much are they and what’s the process?
A: We recommend scheduling a loc consultation appointment specific to loc services desired. Visit our Instagram page @alottalocs to view different loc types. We do not provide quotes over the phone or via social media, in-person only.
Q: Does my hair have to be clean before re-tightening?
A: Yes. Hair must be washed in between appointments and for appointment services.
Q: Are locs permanent?
A: Locs are a natural hair alternative created with your hair, that can be worn and well kept until you decide to end your journey.
Q: Do you offer loc take down services?
A: Yes! We have an extreme loc repair package for full/partial loc take down starting at $1,200 and up. New loc install is optional, additional fees will apply.
Q: Can you style Sisterlocks, Microlocks, and Traditional locs?
A: Yes. Locs can be styled as desired and they are versatile for any lifestyle.
Q: Can I cut and color my locs?
A: Yes. Once locs have matured. Everyone's journey is different and it does depend on your locs. We recommend that you consult with your loctician before making any decisions. We do not offer these services.
Q: Are you currently taking new clients?
A: Yes. If you do not already have locs. New clients are required to book a consultation before receiving additional services.
Q: My hair is partially permed, would I have to cut my hair to start locs?
A: We recommend that you have 3 to 4 inches of new growth before starting. Over time the permed hair will need to be trimmed to be healthy.
Q: How soon can I wash my locs?
A: Hair must be washed often to maintain healthy hair growth. Develop a wash schedule that works for you. If you are not sure how to begin, consult with your loctician.
Q: Do you take same-day/walk-in appointments?
A: Our studio offers pre-booked walk-in appointments online for new clients. Appointments and booking information can be found on this website, click the button below for details.
Q: Can extensions be added to Sisterlocks, I have short hair?
A: We do not provide any loc extension services. If you’re considering loc extensions we recommend trying another salon. The Sisterlocks system is created by your natural hair growing from the roots.
